A study in irony,

A contrast of concepts,

An expression of opposition,

Yet, making perfect sense.

They say opposites attract.

Yet, they say birds of a feather flock together.

“Balance” connotes perfection.

A slight difference would tip the scales and throw things off kilter.

Instead, as imperfect humans, we strive for constant movement…Going with the ebbs and flows,

Finding our rhythm, riding our tides,

Feeling wholeness in the  push & pull,

Peace in the peaks and valleys.

“For the tyranny of virtue is as unbearable as the stranglehold of vice.”

We exist somewhere in between virtue and vice,

Between the studies of irony,

Contrasting concepts,

Expressions of opposition.

We find our truths in the search for harmony,

and not in the quest for perfection.

Harmonious imbalance.

And so it is.
