“IN MY HEAD I WALK AROUND SOMEWHERE ELSE” BY ARTURO SANCHEZ JR. – NOVEMBER 2024

In Arturo Sanchez Jr.’s latest exhibition, I Walk Around in My Head Somewhere Else, the artist explores themes of sleepwalking, fragmented memories, untethered objects, and disintegrating bodies. Sanchez’s pieces have a haunting quality that recalls scenes half-remembered, much like his analog collages’ loose, layered aesthetics, a process he likens to old-style human Photoshop. Spliced from various distinct compositions arranged by his own hands with the help of his keen eyes, his work invites viewers to reflect on how memories blur, scatter, and fuse, rendering images that are at once vivid and enigmatic.
